I have two other blogs, one is called Lucyskids and it is all about my mom Leah Lucy Durtschi Phillips and some memories from the last few years of her life. The other blob is called Thoughts on a Rainy Day and it mainly has some documentation of work I did around my home in Corrales NM (mainly the Tennis court).
This blog will be just for recording day to day events. It will be a public blog so I won't get two personal in here but hopefully I can look back on this 3 or 5 years from now and recall some of the things happening in my life during this time.

- Merritt and Heather
- We got married when we were college age. After that we raised our family in Corrales NM until Merritt got an offer to work for a Dutch company in Asia and Europe. After 8 years of that we returned to Corrales and started planning an early retirement so we could continue traveling. Fifteen years later we made it happen. As soon as we retired in 2018 we spent 18 months on a volunteer service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) in Serbia which we greatly enjoyed. Providing those months of service makes us feel a little less guilty about our somewhat selfish plans to travel to Mexico, Ecuador, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, South Africa over the next five years.
